Parted Clouds and Bubbles

I am musing about....

Parted Clouds and Bubbles

The other day I got a text from a dear friend. She shared a beautiful little story. She had been struggling and had taken a long walk under a cloudy sky. She was talking to God. As she thought on her challenges, she remarked aloud..."I am so alone". At that very moment, the clouds parted and the warm sunshine poured down upon her. God was reassuring her of His constant presence, that He was there walking with her through the cloudy days.

Later that day, I was reminded again of God's love for His children.

I had been staying with our grandsons for several days while their parents were on a trip. The boys wanted to "do bubbles". We headed to the garage and found the big bottle of bubbles. But alas, no wand. I told them I was going to quick go into the house and see if I could find something that worked.

I opened a kitchen cupboard. The first thing I noticed was a grater. This just might work I thought, as I quickly grabbed it and closed the drawer.

In a flash, I was back outside. I poured the soapy solution over the grater, waved it into the air and wha la...bubbles! Lots of them! Small...but abundant. The boys laughed and took off chasing them, excitedly popping as many as their flailing hands could reach!

"That works pretty good!" I exclaimed with a smile.

"Yes, I prayed you would find something" said the oldest, Miles.

I was touched as I thought about how quickly I found just the right thing.

Thank you God for answered prayers. Big and little. From your big children, and your little.

Thank you for caring....

about parted clouds, and bubbles.

God Stories. What's yours?

I am marveling at God stories. What's yours?? Our daughter has a good friend. Her name is Stephanie. She is creative, talented, bubbly, sensitive and loves Jesus! And she wrote a book. For kids. About God. Called Always Remember . It is different then most kid's books. It has a poetic lilt which is beautiful, but atypical in its cadence. It's wording is unique; yet lovely. It is simple and it is deep.  It's premise is pivotal, declaring Truth! It is almost layered in that each reading of this basically simple book helps peel back another level of understanding and appreciation. It is a book that is actually instructional. It should be read often as a way to reflect and then to live. The main theme is teaching kids (and adults alike) to... Stop. Ponder. Remember God. To see Him every day in everything. To align daily with who He is. It is beautifully illustrated, with large colorful pictures that engage, teach, enlighten and intrigue. She shared how the book was firs...

Free to Destruct or Thrive

On this Veteran's Day, I am musing about how we are... FREE! Free.... to destruct or thrive!  0h THANK YOU Heavenly Father for the free nation that is ours! THANK YOU to our service men and women of today and to all those who willingly fought and unselfishly gave...so that we could be free. Free to let our voice by heard, to worship as we please, to vote our conscience! Are these freedoms being challenged? Yes! Is free speech being censored? Yes! Oh there are concerns...ample concerns! So, a disclaimer of sorts. Is what I am about to relate my own humble, personal opinion?  Yes, it is. I am basing it on God's Word which is where I obtain my world view. Which is where I find Truth. Dear readers, I surmise that most of you agree with me, but if you do not, that is your right. We both have rights to express our opinions. And that is because we live in a country that allows us this privilege! And for that, I am thankful! Aren't you? So, getting back to my message. Yes, there...

Thank You and God Bless!!

Thank you friends and family for coming along on this musing and marveling journey the last three and half years. The journey is not over. There is still plenty of musing and marveling to do. But for now, I have come to a place of pause and reflection. As 2023 rolls to its close, I am considering taking a step of faith to put this into a book to be shared with those I love, and those who love (or will love) Jesus! All along, it has been about using God given stories and random analogies to encourage and inspire, as together we let life point us to our life-giver, Jesus! And that is my prayer for each of you dear readers...that you may be encouraged, each day, to continue on in this Christ-following journey. Look to Him! Shine for Him! Love Him! Share Him! It is what we are called to do! For this life is all about serving our Lord and bringing others to the Father's throne of mercy and grace, that place where we all find hope, purpose and peace. And to each of our precious grand-c...
