Probably not. What is there to study, right? Just dig in to the fresh, wholesome, sweet deliciousness! In the kitchen. Every morning we prepared large fruit trays laden with a variety of tasty, healthy, fresh produce. And I remember thinking about our Creator! He created fruit for us to enjoy! The colors and flavors, oh so pleasing! Vegetable trays. They too are worthy of praising God! Fields of flowers. Colorful, varied, intricate, lovely. Thank you loving Creator! Being a Wannabe

I am musing about.... Being a Wannabe Who do you wannabe? What do you wannabe? Last evening something fun happened. I was out on our patio sitting at the table, strumming along on my guitar (for my enjoyment only...nothing too amazing for sure!) All of a sudden a fast winged small creature buzzed by me and started partaking of the nectar from the petunias in the pot on the table before me. What? Was it a hummingbird? It looked like one. Kind of. Then again it looked like a large moth. That looked like a hummingbird. I wished I had my camera more handy. So then I did the next obvious thing. I googled it. How fascinating! Seems I had the "rare treat" of spotting a "hummingbird moth"  The article I read called this insect a hummingbird "wannabe". For some reason, it made me start thinking about being a wannabe vs being comfortable with who we are. Honestly, these posts are stretching me a bit. I am "putting myself out there". It makes me wonder ho

Walking hand in hand

I am musing.... about walking hand in hand. Our unshakable God is shaking up the world. He loves us and He wants our attention. Today we have a big, crazy, confused, beautiful world facing some pretty big stuff. I know. It has happened before. There have been wars, plagues, famines, floods, nuclear threats, riots, unrest, holocausts, genocides, civil turmoil and economic collapse. And more. We live in a very fallen world. Yet I have spoken to many Sr. citizens; after all I work in a nursing home. I have also questioned neighbors and elderly friends and family. They all agree. They have never seen anything like this before. The global involvement and ramifications also make it unique. I feel very blessed in so many ways. Blessed by the beauty of the days in our quiet, peaceful town, precious interactions (though not quite as frequent lately) with dear family and friends, a job that I love (but one that has definitely become more complicated and challenging in some ways), ministry opport
