Brokenness Part 1

Brokenness  Part 1 It made me sad.   I had three lovely long stem carnations that I was taking to my mom. She would like them; a touch of Spring to brighten their home! I had them in a vase (without water) on the floor of the car. I had planned to be intentional about keeping an eye on them when I turned a corner. But I got distracted, turned a corner and sure enough the vase fell over and the pretty dark pink one became broken. I carefully picked it up and held the vase with the flowers in them the rest of the way to my destination. All the while I was sad; repentant as I wished I had been more intentional, more careful. Oh, they were involved in the preliminary settings as they hooked up the aircraft to the propelling apparatus. And they had a role once the plane is airborne (to rely on the control tower). But the actual lift off....depends on a catapult. And so it is with our Spiritual life. It is up to us to say "yes Lord", to hook up to and engage in a relationship with Jesus. For He is there, ready and waiting to take us and to use us; to send us
