I am musing..... About Truth, these Times and Our Role in it all These times. These crazy times. In our lifetime...this is all unprecedented. The world has changed. So much. So fast. Who do we believe? What do we believe? I know. This is all so complicated. So many questions and uncertainties and perspectives and opinions.  The world can confound us. But God is not an author of confusion. He is our constant. To Him and His Word may we be tethered. Never before have I loved the TRUTH of His Word like I do now. It is the only source of Truth that I can count on through and through. So, as Christians in 2020...what is our role? How should we respond? Should we simply sit back and accept what is happening, while always trying to be "salt and light"...to be vessels of love, peace and honor in the name of Jesus? Or does the LORD want us to get involved? To become activists? Or at least "influencers"? Specifically I am thinking about our role in the ...

Watering

I am musing.... about water-ing I look out our patio door and smile in my heart. My bright, colorful potted flowers look so happy today. They are fresh looking, vibrant, open, full and healthy. Wasn't it just yesterday morning that they looked weary, dry, full of dead blooms needing to be removed? Not all that pretty. Thankfully...it wasn't too late. Amazing what water will do. Timely water. Refreshing, restoring water. This heat has been awful. No friend to vegetation, that is for sure. And so I reflect. I am like those potted plants. Life can get challenging, the heat can stoke up. I may be tempted to forgo a watering or to cut it short. The watering that I so need and require is my daily uptake from the "living water" of God's Word. Some days I may grab a sprinkle, other days I allow myself to be drenched, and those are the better days. It is amazing what His Word can do.
